Toronto Would Like to be Seen as the Nice Person’s Silicon Valley, if That’s Not Too Much Trouble

MobSquad was featured in the MIT Technology Review, which delved into Canada’s growing technology ecosystem, recent successes of the Canadian immigration system, and how the country is setting new standards for technology sector values.  Propelled by these factors, as well as recent immigration restrictions in the US, Canada is proving itself to be an increasingly attractive place to locate top technology talent.  Even in the midst of the current pandemic, while Canada’s neighbour to the south tightens its borders, Canada is taking a different approach: “Immigration will absolutely be key to our success and our economic recovery,” said Canada’s immigration minister, Marco Mendicino, in May.
